Freebies from Maven Magazine's Beyond The Blush 2

As promised, here's the lowdown of the freebies that I got to take home during the second leg of Maven Magazine's Beyond The Blush beauty blowout. It was my first time to attend so I did not know what to expect. Boy, was I blow away!

The loot bag was really heavy so I knew that I was in for a wonderful treat. I was all smiles throughout the entire time I was unloading each item out of the bag. :)

Maven Eco Bag
To start off, here's the free eco bag that came with the freebies given away during the beauty blowout. Isn't it cute? I'm planning on bringing this when I'm out shopping just in case I need an extra bag since it's foldable and easy to carry around.

The Face Shop Club20 sampler box
When I first saw this, I thought it had make-up in it! However, what's inside was also very useful since it had skincare samples from their various lines. I will finally get a chance to try their products.

Nivea Angel Star and Menergy Deodorant
Glad to have this since this will save me from buying another one once my current one runs out. The green one went to my brother since it's for men. I actually won once during the raffle and got another Nivea loot bag so I have another set of these.

Nivea Happy Time Body Lotion
I've been meaning to buy a bottle of lotion but thanks to Nivea, I'd have to postpone it to a later time and enjoy this one instead.

Nivea Foldable Fan
This is really useful especially when the weather gets a little to hot to handle.

Snoe Extra Strength Glutathione Beauty Bar

This is the first time I got a product from Snoe so I really got giddy that it is included in the bag. Plus, it's a whitening soap - I will surely try this ASAP!

Ever Bilena Famous Lipstick in Peach
Another addition to my growing collection!

Kiehl's Activated Sun Protector
It was nice for Maven Magazine to include sunscreen as one of the freebies - it goes to show they also think of sun protection for their readers! This is also my first Kiehl's product so I'm excited to try it out and see if it really works.

Goody Elastic Hair Ties
Hair ties for the girl on-the-go.

The Body Shop's The Floral Musk Vial
As an avid user of The Body Shop, I was really happy to receive a fragrance vial from the brand.

Biopha Organic Shampoo and Shower Gel samples
This brand is actually foreign to me so I'll let you know in my following posts if I'll enjoy this or not.

Athena Milk in Chocolate flavor
The regular milk variant tasted really good so I bet this chocolate one will taste even better. :)

Fruits and Passion Pomelo Granite Hand Cream, Fushia Body Souffle and Bag
I was most excited about the green bag since I found out that there's another bag inside. It's pretty roomy and lightweight at that so this can also go in my bag as an extra.

I would really like to thank Maven Magazine for the awesome loot bag that they've given away. I am more than ecstatic to receive such amount of freebies in one go.

BonChon Chicken Opening Soon At SM Sta. Mesa

Fellow foodies, I am delighted to reveal some good news. Bon Chon will be opening a new branch at SM Sta. Mesa. It will be located near the right side of the mall entrance.

For those who are not familiar with BonChon Chicken, it actually originated in Korea and has opened its first store back in 2002. After being successful in Korea, BonChon branched out to other countries such as US, Thailand, Singapore, Brunei, Indonesia and the Philippines. Their first Philippine flagship store was opened in 2010 at the Ayala Triangle Gardens.

Their most famous dish is their Korean Fried Chicken that is crispy but not greasy, with moist meat coated with either soy garlic or spicy glaze. I actually have only tried eating here once but I remember it to be very satisfying as I enjoyed their tasty fried chicken in soy garlic.

There's still no exact date as to when it will open but I bet that with the ever rising demand for their chicken, its management is now speeding up its construction.

In the meantime, like them on Facebook and follow them on Twitter to get more updates and announcements.

Etude House Now Open At SM Sta. Mesa

Korean cosmetics brand Etude House has welcomed another branch under its wings! Last September 17, 2012, they have unveiled their newest branch at SM Sta. Mesa (formerly known as SM Centerpoint). I was lucky to have the time to visit them on their second day and here are the photos that I took:

Nail Items (middle aisle)

Nail Lacquers

Cashier station

Middle Make-up Aisle (Eyes, Lips)

While looking at the make-up aisle, I decided to try some of the items.

The items that I tried for this look:

Tear Drop Liner

Brow Mascara/Gel (this is the lighter one of the two shades available)

Lash Primer (1st one) and Lash Perm Volume Mascara (3rd one)

1st pink lipstick from left

Make-up Wall (left side upon entrance; where face base, concealers, and featured products are located)

Face powders, foundations and concealers

Lash Perm Mascara

The newest mascara in Etude House - the Lash Perm 3 Step Volumecara

Step-by-step guide to use the Lash perm 3 Step Volumecara

Skincare Wall (right side upon entrance; where skincare items, perfume, accessories and gifts are located)

The purple one's my favorite :)

Dry Shampoo

Hair Dyes

SHINee items

Make-up brushes, tools, fasies, etc.

SHINee's Minho's standee located outside the store

I love that this branch has a really wide floor area - great for looking at each item without having to squeeze in when there's a lot of customers inside. I also love the pink and white interiors - very girly! The staff are also very welcoming and informed about the products so customers are assured that they will get quality service while shopping inside the store.

By the way, they have an on-going in-store promo. For every P500 spent, a customer will get a free mask. For every P1000 worth of purchase, the customer gets a free pin.

For those who want to visit Etude House, it is located at the second floor of SM Sta. Mesa. For more updates, please visit their Facebook page here.
